Skyline Speedway Ushers in a New Era of Racing this Sunday

March 27, 2017

(Stewart, Ohio) Less than a year removed from the untimely ceasing of operations at the Skyline Speeway, the long popular red clay oval located in Stewart Ohio is set to roar back to life for a full-season of racing at the 3/8th mile oval beginning this Sunday April 2nd.

Operating under the new management of Steve Curtis and staff in 2017, the track looks to give both fans and teams plenty to be excited about all season long at the Stewart Ohio facility. The season opener which will be one of 4 special Sunday afternoon shows in 2017, will feature the always exciting AMRA Late Models, AMRA Modifieds, AMRA Sport Mods, and 4-Cylinders. Each of these respective divisions are sure to provide fans with plenty of racing excitement and help kick off what is shaping up to be a special season of racing at the Skyline Speedway.

With the season opener set for Sunday afternoon, the track staff is promising to ensure an efficient and quality racing program to accommodate all in attendance. With the experienced staff working together, track officials believe Sunday's show is going to be a good season opener and will treat fans with a new fan experience at the Skyline Speedway.

The track which has had a turbulent past number of seasons, looks to build upon the success of the Sarah Bond Memorial and Harvest 50 specials held in late 2016 under the same management. From facility maintenance and upkeep, to track prep, track officials have been hard at work since late January and still have a busy week ahead as they prepare to welcome fans to a new Skyline Speedway this coming Sunday.

The track expects to see some very soli car counts this Sunday, even despite the early season date for the season opener. The track believes that by offering some of the highest payouts in the region, the track should not only draw car counts, but also very competitive fields to help provide fans with the racing excitement they deserve!

Track Promoter Steve Curtis and staff encourage fans and teams to come out and support the track's season opener this coming Sunday. With the winter months and long hours behind us, it is time to usher in a new era of racing at the Skyline Speedway and all we need, is to see you there!
