Skyline Speedway back in action this Friday

April 24, 2017

After a regularly scheduled Friday night off on April 21st, the Skyline Speedway is set to return to action this coming Friday night April 28th, with an evening of racing in all regular classes. If the first two events of 2017 are any indication of what fans can expect this Friday, they are sure to see some stout fields full of regional favorites and an efficient show out of consideration for all in attendance.

The first two events of 2017 has seen some stout names take home feature wins including that of both Tyler and Freddie Carpenter, Travis Dickson, James Dennis and more. Track promoter Steve Curtis and staff has been pleased with the wide range of talents that have been on hand thus far, and the staff expects an even better fields this Friday night!

As an added bonus to this Friday's show, the Skyline Speedway will host the 1st of 5 Sport Mod "All-Star Series" events which will allow the AMRA Sport Mod division compete in a mini-series within the track's regular points championship battle, This $500 to win, $100 to start event is designed to showcase the growing division and the staff hopes to see some great cars as they work to promote and grow the class that has promoted some exciting racing already at the Skyline Speedway.

Aside from the AMRA Sport Mod special, this Friday's show will be the last warm-up for the AMRA Late Model "Throwback 30" special set for May 5th, which will see Late Models compete for a $2,000 to win payday, plus a $1,000 to win Modified special. So far with the dominance of the Carpenter's and Dickson's in the Late Models and Modifieds, teams will be vying to knock them off and catch some momentum as the Skyline Speedway approaches what looks to be a very busy summer of racing!

Friday's show will kick off with gates opening at 4 PM, and Hot Laps set to begin at 7:15. General Admission remains at just $12 per adult with kids 10 & under getting in free. Pits remain set at $30 (ages walking and up). WIth Skyline Speedway's payouts leading most within the region, the track staff invites all teams to come out and help bring the excitement back to the Skyline Speedway!
