(Guysville, Ohio) With a dismal forecast projected for the originally scheduled Friday June 23rd date, the Skyline Speedway's staff has made the decision to shift this weekends event to Sunday June 25th. The Sunday evening event is sure to be a hit with fans, as the track will host racing in all regular divisions plus kids bicycle giveaways all evening long, as well as an AMRA Sport Mod "All-Star" Special and Mechanic Races to close out the night.
On the heels of a very exciting racing program this past Friday June 16th, which saw plenty of late race excitement in each divisions feature race, that would eventually deliver 2 new first time winners at the track in 2017, fans should expect the action to only pick up this Sunday. With the always exciting AMRA Late Models and the very competitive AMRA Modifieds set to do battle, along with the track's AMRA Sport Mods, 4-Cylinders and Mini Wedge divisions, fans should get to see plenty of racing action during the rare Sunday evening event.
As previously noted, Sunday's event will feature the 2nd AMRA Sport Mod "All-Star Series" event which will pay $500 to win and $100 to start for the Sport Mod class, which has produced some excellent racing thus far in 2017. As an added bonus for teams, the track will go old school and host mechanic races for the Sport Mod and 4-Cylinder division to conclude the show! Lastly, Promoter Steve Curtis, the Skyline staff and numerous drivers and supporters will be donating bicycles which will be given away to young race fans all throughout the evening.
Sunday's event will kick off with gates opening at 3 PM, with Mini Wedges taking to the track at 5:45 and Hot Laps to follow. Out of consideration to those who must work early Monday morning, the Skyline Speedway staff promises to have the Late Model
feature race on the track at 8:30 or before, and will stress for an efficient show all evening.
General Admission remains at just $12 per adult with kids 10 & under getting in free. Pit Passes are $30 with the track offering the discounted rate of $15 for kids 5 & under in the pit area.
The Skyline Speedway staff looks forward to this Sunday's event and hopes to see a stout field of cars on hand as the track expects to see a great evening of racing and fun for the whole family!
